Actions for the Revitalisation of Greek Handicraft
In November, as part of the Ministry of Culture’s project for Greek Handicraft, a series of targeted actions were carried out in Athens, Ioannina and Karditsa.

Karditsa | Seminar: “Handicraft as a Driver of Development”
On 12 November, at the University of Thessaly Amphitheatre, a seminar was held focusing on the role of handicraft in strengthening local communities. The Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, delivered a keynote speech, while Next Com supported the design, promotion and organisation of the event, which attracted significant participation from institutional, academic and professional stakeholders.
Ioannina | Seminar & Weaving Workshop
On 13 and 14 November in Ioannina, Next Com provided full organisational and communication support for a set of actions highlighting both the timeless value and contemporary dynamism of Greek handicraft.
The programme included a seminar at the Archaeological Museum of Ioannina and a hands-on weaving workshop at the Mekkeio Boarding School, offering experiential training on the loom and active public engagement.
Athens | Ceramics Workshop
On 22 November, a ceramics workshop was held at the University of West Attica, with Next Com contributing to the event’s design and communication. Participants explored traditional and modern ceramic techniques, with a notable emphasis on the use of 3D-scanning technologies to support the creation of a digital repository of folk art.
