Nextcom Group Successfully Organized the Road Show for PGI Wines of Epirus & Cyclades in Thessaloniki
The Road Show for PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) Wines of Epirus and Cyclades was successfully held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, in Thessaloniki, an exceptional event dedicated to Greek winemaking tradition, gastronomy, and responsible wine consumption.
Nextcom Group was responsible for the design and organization of the event, within the framework of a project by the National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives (ETHEAS), titled “Raising Awareness on Responsible Wine Consumption and the EU Scheme for Protected Geographical Indications – PGI Epirus & PGI Cyclades.” The event delivered a comprehensive experience that highlighted the uniqueness, quality, and gastronomic potential of Greek PGI wines.
Held at the restaurant “To Neon,” the event brought together professionals from the wine, gastronomy, and hospitality sectors, as well as representatives of the media.
An immersive experience dedicated to Greek wine
The event showcased the distinct character and quality of PGI wines from Epirus and the Cyclades, emphasizing their connection to the Greek land and winemaking tradition. At the same time, it highlighted the importance of responsible consumption and contemporary Greek gastronomic culture.
Participants included journalists, sommeliers, academics, gastronomy and hospitality professionals, and experts in nutrition and wine. During the event, the unique characteristics of PGI wines from Epirus and Cyclades were presented, along with their link to their regions of origin and their contribution to modern Greek wine identity.
Wine tasting and food & wine pairing
Following the presentations, an organized wine tasting and dinner took place, offering guests the opportunity to sample selected labels of PGI wines from Epirus and the Cyclades through carefully curated food & wine pairings.
The experience was designed to highlight the gastronomic dimension of Greek wine and to create a meaningful, experiential connection between the audience and Greek grape varieties, as well as the country’s wine culture.
