The Region of Crete participated in the “Greek Alternative Tourism Workshop,” which took place in Stockholm on April 27th, 2023, further enhancing its promotion and dissemination to both tourism businesses and tour operators.
The “Greek Alternative Tourism Workshop” hosted numerous B2B meetings with the aim of strengthening the tourism profile of the Region of Crete and further increasing tourist traffic. During the workshop, representatives of the Region held dozens of significant meetings with tour operators, travel agencies, and event organizers in Sweden, who showed particular interest in the unique characteristics of the island.
The hospitality of the Crete representatives, the treat of raki (a traditional Cretan drink), and the rich gifts with the aroma and flavor of Crete offered to everyone brought positive surprises and joy.
The Deputy Regional Governor of Crete delivered a remarkable presentation about the island, impressing every attendee and creating high expectations for each prospective visitor.
